It’ s been a very good and productive 2 weeks down in Favara Sicily, thanks to the support of local Architect Michele Vitello. I have made a brand new series of stencil works over old sicilian doors and other upcycled found objects, rusty metal and old italian cars door. They are also all covered with shiny transparent epoxy resin. The first one I’ve made is about legendary American writer Charles Bukowski, one of my youth’s heroes, second one about famous Irish theatre writer Samuel Beckett of “Waiting for Godot” fame, then I have moved into a new series titled “SAINT PATRONS ACTIVISTS” and the first one is about 60′s Italian writer and film director Pierpaolo Pasolini, titled OCCUPY PASOLINI. If he was still alive he would probably be wearing a protection mask and stand down in the streets of the world next to the young activists. The second one is also vaguely religious and titled PADRE SANTIGAS. I am looking forward to find new collaborations and do prepare new shows with these pieces…please contact me in private if interested in buying some of these or putting together an exhibit, anywhere in the world.
