Death in Villa S.Martino

Hopefully these will be remembered as the last political days of our ex-prime minister Silvio Berlusconi. It is been now 20 years since he went into politics and it was a disgrace for our country in terms of social, culture and economics. I hope it will be remembered as the second darkest era of our young republic, right after the Mussolini’s 20 terrible years. I’ve pictured him here as in the last sequence of the famous italian movie “Death in Venice” by great film director Luchino Visconti. Just like Dirk Bogarde slowly dying while the black ink of his hair colour is dripping down on his forehead…sitting by the beach and staring into the distance at the last glimpse of his own lust.
